Race Boards:Fanatic Falcon 282 CCS
Author:
Staff Rated the top course-slalom board in 1996, the Falcon 282 still has a lot of appeal. It has excellent components, great upwind performance and tremendous ability to hold speed through a fast, aggressive jibe. With the addition of a carbon fin, the 282's components are even better now than they were last year. Not quite as comfortable in rough water as the Roberts 9'4" and Berky 288 and so small as to be in a different league from the bigger boards in this test group, the 282 remains a good buy for the medium-weight rider looking for good light- to medium-wind course-slalom performance.
