Development Rules For Coast Upheld By Court

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has given advice to consumers following the court ruling that goods purchased overseas are covered by section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.

The Supreme Court based its ruling on the fact that internet filters can easily be turned on and off, and noted that adult library patrons should be allowed to ask the librarian to disable the filter, without giving any reason for the request.

The December survey also found that 13% of cash machines failed to meet one or more LINK rules, mostly related to failing to warn of charges on the machine or on signs. Center Credit Service Union Environmentalists scored a minor victory in Friday's decision, which advised the DEP to review some of the regulations in order to require that builders prove a coastal development will do minimal harm to animals, plants and water sources in the area.

Card Credit Service Wireless Tom Borden, a lawyer who argued on behalf of environmental groups, said he hoped the DEP would use the ruling to strengthen protections for the coast.
