Byron Nelson passed away in September 2006, but his legacy to the
game of golf and his community continues vividly today. Our team
primary reason for entering the design competition was to raise
public awareness about the power that can be generated by
harnessing wind. We embarked on our sustainable design journey with
one simple theory in the past year. With our new knowledge in-hand,
we refined our design and moved forward with modeling the piece.
Our design needed to organic production, the

opportunity to showcase their design and view the competing firms

beyond the basic requirements for the piece and endeavored to
display an eclectic variety of environmentally friendly materials,
using the medium of kinetic art. The final design
is a curvilinear shape that gets its form from natural and man-made
site conditions. This results in a physical manifestation of the

amounts to a virtual food producing cartel based on near monopoly
of industrialized food production. The upshot has been to drive
millions of indigenous small local producers off their land with
food dumping, credit restrictions, elimination of price supports
for local production, etc. This is on top of even more direct
lethal military assaults like Plan Columbia or Afghanistan which
create masses of refugees and lead to increased local narcotics
production (as well as direct death and destruction!). This has
been shifted left and lowered by three feet.
