SecureInfo Corporation Sues Xacta Corporation & Telos Corp for Computer Fraud & Abuse, Violation of Trade Secrets and Copyright Infringement
San Antonio (Business Wire) May 11, 2005 -- On May 6, 2005 SecureInfo Corporation (SecureInfo) filed suit against Xacta Corporation (Xacta) for violations of Federal and State computer fraud and abuse laws, misappropriation of trade secrets, copyright infringement, trespass to chattels and detinue (wrongful taking of property belonging to another). The suit also named as defendants Telos Corp (Telos), the parent company of Xacta, and David J. Wilson, Vice President of Product Management for Xacta.

The Complaint filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, alleges Xacta, through its Vice President of Product Management David Wilson, accessed and operated SecureInfos proprietary RMS software and trade secret documentation for their own benefit. According to the suit filed, audit records from SecureInfos software revealed that a domain named Xacta through user Wilson, David repeatedly analyzed, copied and exported SecureInfos confidential, proprietary and trade secret information from a computer internet address assigned to Telos, the parent company of Xacta.
