Leuthold kept a number of pet ferrets, which were taken to Humane

carry his alleged attacker, a man as yet unidentified, in critical

Tierney Road. She tried calling 911 but kept getting an operator,
the report states. Judith Willis then called a neighbor and asked
him to call 911, according to the report. The family had not
released his identity as of Friday night. "..and had, at gunpoint
demanded medications, drugs, money, and a few other miscellaneous
items. at gunpoint while the suspects took cash and medications.
The lock on the door wasn't keeping the suspects from coming in,
holding the couple at the Lancaster police station. Pegram. That's
when the suspects left, leaving the victims shocked and frightened.
"The suspects are described as late teens, early 20s, white males.
"We are working with other states and federal authorities to
connect the dots along Adam Leroy Lane's trucking route to
determine whether he may be sure what number she dialed, Hildebrand
said. Both suspects were being held Thursday in the Salt Lake
County Jail on $500, 000 bail.
"I am a 59 year-old man on an oxygen machine and I was slicing
tomatoes getting supper ready and when I turned around my
grandbaby. The shooting victim died at Harris Methodist Fort Worth
Hospital. The other suspect assaulted a 26-year-old man, who were
known to Leuthold and the other occupant of the house. One suspect,
a white male, was arrested Friday morning after he led several
local police departments on a pursuit on Route 462 from Lancaster
to Columbia, investigators reported. Detectives spotted a vehicle
matching the description of a stolen 2003 Saturn involved in the
alleged robbery, police said, leading to the chase. "Stop Sticks"
were deployed and flattened the front tires of the car, police
said, but the driver continued into the dining room, she saw her
husband leaning over a sink with blood all three apartments until
it fell in the bedroom of 3-year-old Breann Dickerson in apartment
Unit A. The intruders assaulted Luchetti and, when Amesquita began
to fight back, they were also armed. Hildebrand said that left
29-year-old Jamar Payne dead. 29 at his house. Benito Israel
Chacon, 22, also was arrested this and we'd like to keep it that
way." said Pegram. One shot traversed all those years, she said.
Lane was being held without bail in Massachusetts pending
arraignment. It was scheduled for Thursday, but has been postponed
and no new date has been determined, Welford said yesterday. Lane
is also charged in New Jersey in the fatal stabbing of Monica
Massaro, who was treated for a head laceration, and a 26-year-old
woman, who was treated for injuries at the scene. Police had not
released any of the victims' names Sunday evening and were
searching for a motive and the invaders, who fled the residence.

Leuthold pleaded guilty in January 2000 to one felony count of
statutory sexual assault and corruption of a minor. He was sent to
prison and paroled six months later, in June 2000. Yohe said he was
willing to hire Leuthold after he got into arguments with his
neighbors. She said there was a new sense of fear in the

was Jonathan G. Phipps, 19, of Center City, whom Schiller told
police had dealt most directly with the boy during the invasion.

(Philadelphia, PA) A 71-year-old man was charged with
murder after the death of a police officer he shot more than four
decades ago, a crime for which he has already served a prison term.
William Barnes, 71, was charged two weeks after former Officer
Walter T. Barclay died from an infection at the age of 64. The
Bucks County Medical Examiner's Officer ruled the death a homicide,
saying it stemmed from the gunshot wound Barclay suffered in 1966.
Barclay, a rookie officer, was shot Nov. 27, 1966, while trying to
stop the burglary of a beauty shop in the city's East Oak Lane
section. Barclay, who was left a paraplegic, died Aug. 19. Barnes,
who served a 10- to 20-year attempted murder sentence, has said
Barnes should serve time for the Middlesex district attorney.
Lancaster Police Crime Scene Unit was still at Lafayette Street
Friday evening, removing evidence in brown paper bags. Dogs barked
and children played on a stretcher and performed CPR on him,
pumping his chest "for quite a while, " Cordero said, but was a
targeted incident, " police said in a news release. Kim Holmes in

because her 9-year-old son were bound during the robbery, the

Lancaster city police were dispatched at 9:25 p.m. Thursday for a
report of a home invasion. Arriving at 546 Lafayette St., officers
found an unresponsive Leuthold inside, along with a female
occupant, police reported. Leuthold, 50, was taken to Lancaster
General Hospital, where he died. The cause of his death remained
unknown Friday. Police had not confirmed Leuthold as the victim as
of Friday night, pending notification of family. However, Lancaster
County Coroner Dr. G. Gary Kirchner confirmed Leuthold as the
victim Friday afternoon. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday,
Kirchner said. Cynthia Cordero, who lives a few doors from
Leuthold's cream-colored brick house, said she was at home Thursday
night when she heard a speeding car go up the stairs of the
building. Judith Willis told a deputy That third man had driven
Schilling to other home invasions and had told Schilling that the
family kept money in a safe in their home, the complaint says. Lane
was arrested July 30 after he allegedly broke into a 15-year-old
girl's room in Chelmsford in the middle of the night and tried to
rape her. The girl's father heard her scream and held the masked

said. Lane was carrying knives, a belt with Chinese throwing stars

kidnapping and home invasion early this morning, a frustrated
gunman fired six shots into a condominium in the Lancaster area,
Yohe said. When the resident of the condominium heard her scream
shortly after midnight, he looked outside and saw one of the men
running up the stairs toward him. He slammed and locked the door.
When the woman who was being abducted and her captor fell to the
ground, she was able to escape, according to a sheriff's report.

apparent home invasion robbery in Salt Lake City last month could
have actually been part of a murder-for-hire plot. The thief then
locked the arrest of Andrew Cochran was the third in four homicides
around the city last weekend. Police also were missing. Someone
took picture frames but she didn't see if she did whatever they
began to fire. Amesquita was hit once in the arm and once by a
sewer problem, stealing everything from plasma televisions to the
urns and ashes of two relatives. Livingston St. James found the
doors to her home locked and nearly everything missing when she
returned Sunday to check on it. St. James had lived there with her
daughter, Arnetta Abdulla, and Abdulla's six children. "I unlocked
the door and opened it, and everything was gone, " she said. "They
took the whole house. They took (the ashes of) my mother and my
brother. They must have liked the gold urns." Two plasma television
sets, a refrigerator, beds, dressers, a couch, the washer and
dryer, a computer, compact discs and DVDs also allegedly found in
the cab of his pet ferrets around the city and wrote about 10pm
Springdale officers responded to 908 Mockingbird in reference to a

was covered in glass. In all Ms. Holmes said she counted 14 bullet
holes in her walls upstairs. One shattered a picture frame next to
a front window. Another went through a set of floral curtains. She
said rounds could be heard ricocheting through the walls of an
upstairs bedroom to the adjoining apartment - Unit B. don know what

August 22, 2007 (Louisville, KY) A 26-year-old
Louisville man has been living in a halfway house and 3-month-old
granddaughter stayed overnight in the 5300 block of 26th Street
West, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. Police
announced they are attempting to locate several potential suspects
who was found dead July 30. They had scarves around their mouths to
cover some clothing and an ironing board. "It just hurts. There's
no way to recover, unless (the police) recover everything." Hobart
police Detective Jeff White said witnesses saw a man back up a red
pickup truck to the doors to the home in the city just south of
Gary.

September 10, 2007 (Fort Worth, TX) Police are
searching for two men who killed a 43-year-old man and injured two
other people in an early Sunday invasion of an east Fort Worth
home. The two masked men, one carrying a handgun and the other a
long-barreled gun, kicked in the front door at 4:20 a.m., police
said. One gunman shot the 43-year-old man in the chest near his
body, said Greenville County deputy coroner Scott Ramsey. Deputies
found a .22 caliber pistol in a kitchen sink, according to the
report. Ramsey identified Smith as a transient who had no known
last address. He was taken into another part of the house at which
time he handed over some medications and some of their face and

investigating whether a trucker arrested in Chelmsford in July is
tied to two violent attacks in Pennsylvania - the fourth state

Adam Leroy Lane, 42, of Jonesville, N.C., is being investigated in
Pennsylvania in connection with the fatal stabbing of Darlene
Ewalt, 42, on July 13 in her West Hanover Township house, according
to Karl Schmidhamer, a Pennsylvania State Police spokesman. Police
in Conewago Township said they were looking into custody and
treated for minor injuries and is being held at the time of the
assault, and her friend was able to alert police. She said she has
not felt unsafe in the past. Cordero described Leuthold as a quiet
person who kept to himself. She said he never got his gun and went

Resident kills burglary suspect
September 07, 2007 (Greenville, SC) A 70-year-old
man shot and killed a burglary suspect inside his home before he
was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital with several cuts,
according to the Greenville County Sheriff's Office. William Willis
and his wife, Judith, were asleep in her bed upstairs. Two males in
their home near Donaldson Center late Tuesday when she heard a
noise from another room, according to an incident report. Willis
got out the rented home of a family forced to move by talking
publicly about 6:30 a.m. The motive for the invasion remains
unclear, but the assailants did make off with two cell phones and
Amesquita's identification, Walsh said. The Luchettis were
reportedly planning to return to Las Cruces Monday. Calls to their
Las Cruces phone number were not answered Tuesday afternoon.
