The developer, Russ Wilbert, has said the houses will act as a better sound barrier than the trees on the site.

Credit One Service Union Stevens contends that if township officials used some imagination, they would see the value of preserving the property, which is adjacent to a 10-acre parcel of vacant land owned by Hamilton. Close to that land, near a senior citizen complex on Klockner Road, is a 61-acre parcel zoned residential that is for sale.

Counseling Credit Debt Service Some council members have expressed regret the property may be developed. Thornton said there was a communications breakdown between the council and planning board.
