Checkpoint or "Roll Back" software takes regular "snapshots" of the PC's system state like the System Restore feature in Windows XP. Symantec's GoBack 3.0 snapshots both the system state and any changes in your personal data. Checkpoint programs run at regular intervals and whenever a change is made to the PC.
