Patrick J. Kennedy is the owner and operator of the historic La Mansi n del Rio Hotel, a 337-room luxury hotel which he developed on the San Antonio River in downtown San Antonio, Texas in 1968. He subsequently developed, owned and operated two other La Mansin Hotels. He is the founder and president of La Mansi n del Rio, Inc., a hotel management company, and La Mansin Development Company, which owns and is currently planning development of The Watermark Hotel, a 122-room luxury hotel to be located across the river from La Mansi n.

Mr. Kennedy is the immediate past chairman of the board of directors of Preferred Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, an association of more than 100 independent luxury hotels located in North America, Canada, South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Included are many of the world`s most famous hotels.

Mr. Kennedy has served as a director of The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and on the advisory boards of St. Mary`s University School of Law and St. Mary`s University School of Business, as well as on the University of Texas Health Science Center Development Board. Since April 1992, he has served on the San Antonio Convention Center Expansion Committee.

Mr. Kennedy holds a doctor of jurisprudence degree from St. Mary`s University School of Law and is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Texas, the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Kennedy and his wife, Joan, reside in San Antonio and have four sons and four daughters.
