How do ratings work

After a session with you, your student rates the overall experience from 1 to 5 stars, with 5 representing the highest rating. Students are also encouraged to write a brief description of your teaching, and to explain the reason for the number of stars they give you. When other students and parents look for a new teacher, they see your star rating...and will probably be more interested in teachers with 5- and 4-star ratings. To get good ratings you can: credit first service union

  • Choose to teach only your best subjects. Ratings for all your subjects are averaged together. card credit mobile service

  • At the end of a session, check with the student to see if there is anything they did not understand, or anything they think you could do better. card credit discover service

  • Practice with the tools so that you can use them easily. It would be a shame to get a low rating because a student couldn read your handwriting or hear you on the voice feature. credit public service union

  • Build a rapport with your students. Be encouraging, ask clarifying questions, sympathize when they are struggling with the material, and offer specific solutions that are well-matched to their problems. Give students a chance to show you what they have learned, and tell them how well they are doing. Successful, happy students give higher ratings. card credit processing service

How do I get more students

  • Teach the most popular subjects. Even though GlobalScholar lets you teach any subject, the core academic subjects are the most popular. If you are qualified to teach any of these, emphasize them. credit security service union

  • Earn great ratings. When parents and students search for instructors, the instructors with the highest ratings are at the top of the list. If you want more students, 4-star and 5-star ratings help get their attention. credit report service

  • Get additional certification. Instructors on GlobalScholar are not required to be certified teachers, but many customers value certification. Consider getting certified as a tutor by a national association, or taking classes in online instruction. blogspot com christian

  • Offer many subjects. GlobalScholar lets teachers describe their subjects in many ways. For example, if you are a math instructor, you can list ath as a subject and you can also list specific math classes, such as Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, or Elementary Math. Don t claim you can teach subjects that you aren t qualified to teach, but do make sure that all the subjects you can teach are described specifically. christian counseling credit

  • Tell people that you teach on GlobalScholar. If you teach or tutor outside GlobalScholar, tell your students to try a session on GlobalScholar. You might be able to save time and travel by bringing your existing students to the online world. credit federal service union
