Credit First Service Union "It's a shame, because I don't think he understands the weather system," Deakyne said Tuesday, referring to Steve Atzert, refuge manager for the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, which owns the island. "Either he doesn't get it, or he doesn't want to get it."

Card Credit Discover Service Atzert ordered Deakyne, in a letter earlier this month, to remove the meter by Nov. 30. Deakyne replied requesting Atzert review the possible benefits of leaving the meter in place. Atzert did, but still decided the meter had to be removed.

Card Credit Processing Service But Deakyne maintains that those and other services can not provide data as accurate as his wind meter because their monitoring equipment is not in the bay, as his was.

The information could be accessed free of charge at the shop's Web site.

Blogspot Com Christian A refuge officer told Deakyne last summer that the meter would have to come down, initiating a volley of letters between Deakyne and Atzert requesting, and ultimately denying, a special permit to keep the meter in place.

Christian Counseling Credit "We're disappointed but we're going to pursue other avenues," said Murphy Flynn, of Waretown. Flynn is a surfer and a friend of Deakyne who became dependent on the meter.

Credit Federal Service Union Flynn said they are looking for other locations for the meter, and may ask the Coast Guard for permission to place the meter on a channel marker.
